Isabelle Anguelovski is the Director of BCNUEJ (Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice and Sustainability) and ICREA Research Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Her research examines the extent to which urban plans and policy decisions to more just, resilient and sustainable cities and how environmental processes can lead to new forms of locally unwanted land uses in the marginalized communities.

Mitzi Jonelle Tan is a youth climate activist from Philippines which is in 2019 the 2^nd most dangerous country for environmental defenders. In 2019, she convened Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines, the Fridays For Future of the Philipines and has been raising awareness, talking to policy makers, organizing strikes, and making connections globally ever since. Tan always brings her advocacies of climate justice, intersectional environmentalism, and leadership of the vulnerable. She also always fights to make sure that voices from Global South are heard, amplified and given space.

Anne Karpf is a columnist, sociologist and award-winning journalist contributing regularly to The Guardian and other publications. She has a PhD in cultural studies and is Professor of Life Writing and Culture in the School of Art, Architecture and Design at London Metropolitan University. Her research interests and publications are diverse and include gender and the climate crisis, the human voice, ageing, and Holocaust studies.

Birgit Hoinle is Postdoc Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences in Agriculture, Department of Societal Transition and Agriculture, at the University of Hohenheim. She holds a Ph.D. in Integrative Geography by the University of Hamburg. In her dissertation project  she analyzed processes of spatial empowerment in the urban and peri-urban agriculture in Colombia with agroecological networks and Community Supported  Agriculture projects in Bogotá. Her current research addresses Food Justice, sustainable public food procurement in school canteens and  the role of local food initiatives.

Marta is PhD Doctor in Climate Change and Management at Ca’ Foscari University. From 2019 she is working as research fellow for the Regional Models and geo-Hydrological Impacts (REMHI) Division within the Euro-Mediterranean Center of Climate Change (CMCC). Finally, it provides scientific and technical support to various bodies such as the Ministry of the Environment and SCaDU Servizio Sovrazonale di Epidemiologia (SEPI). In particular with SEPI, it analyses the impact of extreme temperatures on human health in the urban context.

Ineza Umuhoza Grace is an African eco-feminist who believes in the sustainability of the ecosystem and in the power of women to lead the change. She is an impact-driven young leader looking to develop solutions to current community challenges, whether small or big. She is the founder of the youth-led Rwandan nonprofit The Green Fighter where she is an Executive Officer and Coordinator of the Loss and Damage Youth Coalition. She participated in the Rwandan delegation of climate change negotiators under UNFCC. Finally, she is an advocate for youth participation in climate change and environment protection activities, especially in the Global South.

Anne Heloise is a climate justice activist. She is a national articulator of the Brazilian youth led organization Engajamundo, where she is part of the gender and climate working groups. She is also a Youth Climate Leader fellow, and the climate justice adviser at the Instituto Marielle Franco. Her trajectory led her to become part of the Generation Equality Forum’s Feminist Action Coalition for Climate Justice.

Alice Bah Kuhnke is a Swedish politician for the Green Party who is currently a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. Previously she served as the Minister of Culture and Democracy From October 2014 to January 2019. She also joined the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and she is the Coordinator of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. In addition to her committee assignments, Bah is a member of the European Parliament Intergroup on LGBT Rights and the European Parliament Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals.
